The veteran receiver said O’Connell’s belief in him stood out during the process.“Go where you’re wanted,” Beckham said. “It seemed as if he wanted me to be here, and that was expressed to me. That feels good when you’re playing a sport like this where you’re laying your livelihood on the line.”The move reunites Beckham with several familiar faces, none bigger than Vikings superstar receiver Justin Jefferson. The two share deep Louisiana roots dating back to LSU. Beckham recalls first noticing Jefferson long before he became one of the NFL’s most dominant receivers.“He was like this big at LSU,” Beckham said while motioning with his hand. “I’ve got a very good eye for someone who’s watching. Beckham served a six-game suspension last year for failing a performance-enhancing drug test and did not sign with a team after that.Traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, Beckham joined the Los Angeles Rams midway through their 2021 Super Bowl championship season. Beckham had 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns in four games in the playoffs that year.Beckham played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and the Miami Dolphins in 2024.The Associated Press contributed to this report
