BOTTINEAU (NewsDakota)- It was a day of headlines early for Carrington on Tuesday, and once they hit the floor, they made sure to end it on the right note. On the day the program achieved the first number one ranking in program history, the Cardinals swept Bottineau (25-13, 25-4, 25-15) on the road in non-region play. The match started with a bit of back-and-forth, though the Cards hit the ball well early.  They led 10-9 before a 7-0 run on the serve of Sophomore Mya Neis to take control with Maara Kutz and Marah Johnson collecting five kills each in the set.
